I remember the first time I climbed Hoverla, the highest peak in Ukraine. The feeling at the summit is indescribable — a blend of exhaustion, triumph, and pure lightness. My only regret is finding “TILL” by Electric Boogie so late it would have been the perfect companion to etch that moment into my soul.
Electric Boogie is the creative alias of the acclaimed guitarist and producer Beno Sorsak. His guitar craftsmanship is the backbone of this emotional piece. The track begins with delicate touches on the strings. If you put on a good pair of headphones, you’ll feel as if Beno is playing right next to you. The guitar tones are crisp, and every slide across the frets resonates through your body.
Soon, a warm beat kicks in, supported by a subtle bass that adds a sense of “mountainous altitude” to the other instruments. Soft ambient pads drift in the background, while low piano notes provide a grounding foundation for the guitar. The percussion rhythm reminds me of the pleasant hum of crickets in the summer grass. Despite the complexity, there is no chaos here — every sound is expertly produced and knows its place.
The artist himself was inspired by the calm of the Alps and the morning mist rolling over the peaks. It’s that feeling of weightlessness, the bird’s-eye view of the world. Even if you’re at home and have never seen the mountains, I recommend listening to this. Perhaps it will inspire you to conquer your own summits, so you can later sit down with a thermos of coffee and appreciate the journey.
P.S. If you’re captivated by Beno’s guitar style, be sure to explore our other feature on Electric Boogie’s “Driftwood Sky” — a masterclass in tropical lo-fi that brings a completely different, yet equally mesmerizing vibe.
