Hope Session is a charming instrumental voyage by French multi-instrumentalist Sylvain Rebichon, or as he is otherwise known, Le Sly. In this outing, he beautifully juxtaposes a dense palette of instruments — guitars and synthesizers and the rest — in an ear-catching tapestry that sounds as delicate as a forest in full bloom.

The track is dense and rich; though it may at first appear to be packed with information, it repays close listening with fresh sonic information at every instant. Instead of bombarding, the piece encourages listeners to lose themselves within its density.

Le Sly smoothly mixes a multitude of genres to create a warm, enveloping atmosphere — the kind that suits a bright afternoon in a verdant garden. Hope Session is upbeat, colorful, and brimming with energy — a sonic escape from the mundane that lingers in the air long after the final note has dissipated.
