Hello everyone. It just so happened that reviewing this track coincided perfectly with the golden hour. The sun at 5:00 PM is its own kind of religion, when the light becomes so dense the room transforms into an amber capsule. This coincidence perfectly matched the energy of “Stara Przyszlosc” by the artist Metafizyka. Information about the creator is non-existent, but judging by the titles, my guess is they are from Poland. You might naturally wonder: why did I choose a track by such an obscure artist? The answer is simple and perhaps a bit cliché.
The composition carries the scent of chillhop and old-school lounge. The guitar intro merely prepares the ground for the true master of this story—the piano. It sounds incredible: light, slightly worn out, as if it has already passed through the hands of several composers who left their untold dreams within these keys. Metafizyka uses this instrument to create a poignant atmosphere. When the piano merges with a warm background pad & bass, you hit that state where your soul suddenly feels light for no apparent reason.
Technically, the track undergoes a fascinating transformation toward the end. After the 2:53 mark, the rhythm shifts from a typical “lo-fi” pattern to organic, acoustic hi-hats. This immediately pulls the listener toward old-school jazz-lounge, adding air and a sense of reality to the sound.
“Stara Przyszlosc” stands out because of this bittersweet blend. It is music about our everyday life and routine. While traditional lounge is usually associated with carefree relaxation somewhere in the sun, Metafizyka’s work is about every moment that surrounds us here and now. That is the true beauty: realizing that a simple streak of evening light on your wall can make you happier than any new gadget. Simple. Quiet. Mundane. Achingly beautiful.
