However, today’s track is a justified exception — Rustic Path, created in collaboration by Ounak and Rhesa Siregar. The composition begins with a melody on a keyboard instrument, reminiscent of sounds created using plugins like Sakura or Serum. Particularly noteworthy is a sound similar to the theremin — an instrument distinguished by its “live” and somewhat mystical tone, produced without physical contact, solely by hand movements in the air. This sound masterfully weaves into the symphony and accompanies the listener throughout the track. I won't claim it's definitely a theremin, but it sounds remarkably close.

Rustic Path evokes incredibly fascinating sensations. Its sound is close to chillwave but doesn’t cross into that genre, maintaining its originality. Usually, lo-fi tracks are associated with grounded moods, reminding us to focus on the present moment. In contrast, this composition lets you escape reality and dream. If one were to capture the emotions evoked by this track, it would feel like June 26, 2067 — sitting on the porch of a floating ice cream café 300 meters above the ground, enjoying a cold dessert. In the background, there’s a pink-blue gradient of the sunset, and on your feet are futuristic rocket-powered sneakers that brought you here. Around your legs spin glowing rings, as often imagined in futuristic costume designs.

In conclusion, this is an intriguing experience, offering a refreshing departure from the usual lo-fi compositions with guitars, saxophones, and other frequently used instruments. This atmospheric track feels like a breath of fresh air, breaking the chains of monotony and providing a fresh perspective on the genre. It’s an ideal choice for relaxation, meditation, or simply a dreamy evening.
