— So, stumbled upon a track by accident again?
— Yes. And you know, maybe that’s how it’s meant to work — unobtrusive, like a breath. Like evening light slipping through the branches.

I was walking down the alley, looking at the trees. Every leaf reflected the sun, as if it had been waiting for this sound. Passing by by Sam Ojalvo & Chilldabeast started quietly. A vintage electric piano laid out a path of soft carpets of light before me.

— And then?
— Then the guitar. Thin, transparent, almost watery. It moved the way leaves drift on the surface of a river. Without effort, without aim. Simply because the wind is there. And I felt this trivial day, so full of rush and noise, dissolve.

The music asked for nothing. It simply walked beside me while I wandered in thought. I caught myself smiling for no reason. Suddenly I began to notice the simplest things. How the air smells. How softly the sun sets. How easy it is to exhale.

— But coming back to reality is inevitable.
— Yes. And that’s what makes this track so honest. It doesn’t try to hide you from the world forever. It only gives you a few minutes. In those minutes the world feels warmer, more bearable.

So I press “repeat.” Because sometimes it’s worth walking down the same street again. Seeing once more how the light falls on the walls. And feeling again that you are not just passing by.

By the way, if you’re curious for more, another track by Sam Ojalvo is featured in our lo-fi chillhop mix with Victoria Mak. It’s perfect for keeping that same warm, reflective vibe going.
