Today, I immersed myself in the atmosphere of the new single, “Scream at the Moon,” from the already familiar Made of Sand. This is a dark yet beautiful musical confession, combining sophisticated downtempo, synth-pop, and cinematic trip-hop.
I immediately feel how the intense, yet intimate, soundscape envelops you. This is the work of masters: Matthew Davis (on guitar) and Dan Rolfe (on synths & beats) created this atmospheric canvas. The enchanting vocals of Aaron Fross add particular depth to the track, blending her Lithuanian roots with modern electronics.
I believe this song is an anthem for anyone who has ever felt overwhelmed by life. It offers the necessary cathartic release. Because when “the flame won’t burn and the tide don’t turn” (0:49), there’s no need to hide, as Aaron sings. It’s a direct call: “just scream at the moon”(1:11).
This is refined, emotional therapy through sound. Because sometimes, to hold on, we don’t need to clench our fists tighter. We just need to find the strength within ourselves to let go of our cry into the night sky.
P.S. If you enjoyed this atmosphere, we also recommend checking out their previous track, «What You Give Is What You Get».
