Hello everyone. In this cold and dark season, let me introduce a bright and warm release from Steve Nguyen. His new track, “Bluemound,” was released just about ten hours ago, and it feels quite unusual for December.
The thing is, from the very first seconds, this track envelops you in a gentle summer warmth. It’s hidden everywhere: in the piano that greets you at the start, and in the delicate synth leads. The melody is truly inspiring—when you look at the cover art and listen to the music at the same time, you can’t help but drift back into the summer that has passed.
I noticed two interesting shades of piano here. One plays a deep role, almost like a bassline. But closer to the equator of the track, another part emerges—tender, with a building mood that feels much like summer rain. The synth lead here feels like a bit of playful mischief, it’s as if it’s nudging the inner child within you to join in on those warm memories.
All of this together evokes nostalgic thoughts amidst the December gloom. The dynamic beat and Steve Nguyen’s signature hip-hop touches do their job—the track doesn’t let you sink into a winter slumber. It’s wonderful that so much bright music is coming out right now, and “Bluemound” has become another important source of strength for me.
Ultimately, when everything around us stands still, these rhythms are always exactly what we need.
