We all have that inner room where we store the best episodes of the past: posters of favorite heroes on the walls, the scent of an old album, a promise you made to yourself as a child. And when you first hit play on “COLORS (LETTING GO)” by <3peace, it feels as if someone has opened the door to that room, and you are swept up by a wave of nostalgia that is deeply inspiring.

Initially, it’s just the lightness of atmospheric synthesized pads, like standing on the edge of an abyss without fear, filled with bliss. All of this leads to the vocals. They are dramatic, but not because of pain, but because of a depth of understanding. The vocals might sound a bit high-frequency, but they seem to deliberately scratch the ideal soundscape, mimicking the imperfection of older playback systems, which enhances the nostalgic effect.

And then comes the magic of the rhythm. It’s disco, a bit worn, like favorite jeans you don’t want to throw away. These danceable rhythms perfectly align with that drama reminiscent of the 70s, but here, the tension is aimed not at pursuit, but at acceptance.

It’s fascinating that <3peace. himself, when creating this sound picture, admitted that the track was inspired by the biblical verse on grace (Romans 6:23). And from this moment, it becomes clear why it feels so complete. This is not a song about searching, even though it was initially meant to be called FINDERS FEE. This is a song about letting go.

This philosophical core transforms the music into something more than just a “movie soundtrack.” It is the voice of inner peace that we attain after a long battle.
