As we head toward summer, we’re seeing more releases that evoke warmth and light. In this new collaboration from artists well-known to the lo-fi community, I caught that exact mid-May atmosphere. Today’s focus is on “Flow” — a joint effort by Resonant Circuits, Vidalima, and Vybeshift.

Sound Architecture

Lo-fi enthusiasts will immediately recognize the signature handpan of Vybeshift (Roni Yohanan, who blends music with sound healing). Her delicate touch flows through the entire track, forming the backbone of the melody and creating a meditative state, like the air after a warm summer rain.

This atmosphere is beautifully supported by the electric guitar of Vincent Slot (better known as Vidalima). His parts are produced to act as a surface for those handpan “droplets,” like leaves unfurling in the wet heat. Finally, the foundation is laid by Resonant Circuits (Malmö-based multi-instrumentalist Jannik Jivung). His steady beat and soft bass provide the “fertile soil” needed for the guitar and handpan to bloom together.

Why Listen?

Flow” is a masterclass in organic production. What stands out most is the premium quality of the sound; despite being recorded in different environments, the live instruments feel perfectly unified. This is where the “invisible” production skill shines—the arrangement is rich and detailed, yet it feels effortless.

You find yourself sinking into this track involuntarily. Even if you’re new to these artists or the genre itself, the clear structure and high-level craftsmanship command your attention. It’s a premium lo-fi experience that proves how deep and “alive” instrumental music can truly be.

P.S. If you’re interested in music that heals and calms, don’t miss our previous feature on these artists.
