Today is a beautiful sunny day to introduce you to the recent release “Samsara” by two successful artists, 7apes and the intern. Their shared experience, which began with beat-making, is clearly felt in this work, and the sound itself inspired thoughts I’d like to share.

Sound Architecture

It is worth noting that the composition consists of an incredible number of sounds: the more you listen to “Samsara,” the more tiny details you notice. The artists have done very meticulous work on the arrangement. Everything here revolves around a guitar chord sample that travels through almost the entire timeline.

The beat, which has a clear hip-hop structure, undergoes significant changes, especially in the first half of the track. The moment when the artists apply reverse playback to this beat sounds very effective. A bit further in, you can feel the addition of new percussion elements that fill the surrounding space well.

As for the melody, it’s hard to grasp at once how many details and effects have been applied. There are many synths and electric pianos, and a sound resembling a theremin brings a strange sensation. I would compare it to images of the future drawn back in the 1950s.

Why Listen?

I like that this track fully lives up to its name. The sound truly constantly reincarnates into new forms, preventing the composition from stagnating and holding the listener’s attention for a long time. This is exactly why the track is worth your attention—you simply won’t be able to pull away without hearing these masterful metamorphoses and sound fractals to the very end.

This constant rebirth will allow you to dive into your tasks with renewed strength and confidence in your actions. Good luck!

P.S. If you enjoy music that systematically deconstructs tranquility, check out our review of “moody”.
